Benchmark indices Sensex and Nifty pared their intraday gains and ended sharply lower on Monday, October 12, falling over 0.7% as investors booked profits amid selling pressure in the market.
The 30-share benchmark index ended at 71924.68 down by -547.65 points or by -0.76 % and then NSE Nifty was at 22363.35 down by -157.1 points or by -0.7 %.
Sensex touched intraday high of 72884.25 and intraday low of 71676.1 The NSE Nifty touched intraday high of 22651.1 and intraday low of 22304.45
