The Sensex and Nifty were trading higher on Friday after two consecutive sessions of sharp losses, supported by a rally in TCS and other IT stocks.
At 14:30 hours, the 30-share benchmark index was trading at 72581.08 up by 987.84 points or by 1.38 % and then NSE Nifty was at 22559.3 up by 327.5 points or by 1.47 %.
Sensex touched intraday high of 72669.2 and intraday low of 71739.49 The NSE Nifty touched intraday high of 22580.75 and intraday low of 22294.75
The top gainers of the BSE Sensex pack were ITC Ltd. (Rs. 266.50,+4.90%), Tata Consultancy Services Ltd. (Rs. 2167.50,+4.45%), Adani Ports & Special Economic Zone Ltd. (Rs. 1764.05,+3.60%), HCL Technologies Ltd. (Rs. 1218.25,+3.18%), Infosys Ltd. (Rs. 1023.75,+2.98%), among others.
The top losers of the BSE Sensex pack were Reliance Industries Ltd. (Rs. 1170.90,-0.54%), among others.
