Benchmark equity indices Sensex and Nifty continued to trade higher on Friday after suffering sharp losses over the previous two sessions, supported by a rally in Tata Consultancy Services (TCS) and other IT stocks.
At 10:40 hours, the 30-share benchmark index was trading at 72391.3 up by 798.06 points or by 1.11 % and then NSE Nifty was at 22508.85 up by 277.05 points or by 1.25 %.
Sensex touched intraday high of 72447.61 and intraday low of 71739.49 The NSE Nifty touched intraday high of 22515.95 and intraday low of 22294.75
The top gainers of the BSE Sensex pack were Tata Consultancy Services Ltd. (Rs. 2192.70,+5.66%), Infosys Ltd. (Rs. 1027.50,+3.35%), Adani Ports & Special Economic Zone Ltd. (Rs. 1753.55,+2.98%), HCL Technologies Ltd. (Rs. 1214.50,+2.86%), ITC Ltd. (Rs. 261.05,+2.76%), among others.
The top losers of the BSE Sensex pack were Bharat Electronics Ltd. (Rs. 365.35,-0.48%), ICICI Bank Ltd. (Rs. 1348.00,-0.44%), Reliance Industries Ltd. (Rs. 1174.20,-0.26%), among others.
