Benchmark equity indices Sensex and Nifty rebounded on Friday after two consecutive sessions of losses, ending higher as buying in blue-chip IT stocks and a positive trend across global markets lifted investor sentiment.
The 30-share benchmark index ended at 77264.51 up by 330.92 points or by 0.43 % and then NSE Nifty was at 24175.65 up by 84.8 points or by 0.35 %.
Sensex touched intraday high of 77357.97 and intraday low of 76988.22 The NSE Nifty touched intraday high of 24188.3 and intraday low of 24076.85
The top gainers of the BSE Sensex pack were Tata Consultancy Services Ltd. (Rs. 2344.00,+4.09%), Infosys Ltd. (Rs. 1143.65,+3.34%), Mahindra & Mahindra Ltd. (Rs. 1636.00,+3.18%), HCL Technologies Ltd. (Rs. 1316.50,+2.68%), Titan Company Ltd. (Rs. 5165.00,+1.17%), among others.
