Indian benchmark indices are poised for a positive start on July 16, with GIFT Nifty trading around 24,112 in early trade, indicating a firm opening for the domestic market.
In the previous session, the Sensex and Nifty ended marginally higher after surrendering most of their strong intraday gains. Buying interest in banking, capital goods, consumer durables, and oil & gas stocks helped support the indices, while weakness in metal, IT, and FMCG counters capped the overall upside.
