Waaree Energies Ltd has received an order from Solar Energy Corporation of India Ltd (SECI) for the development of a 700 MW solar power project along with a 700 MW/2,800 MWh Energy Storage Solution (ESS) in Solapur, Maharashtra.
The project has been awarded by a domestic entity and is structured as a one-time order. The associated Power Purchase Agreement (PPA) will remain valid for 25 years from the scheduled commencement of supply date.
The project will combine large-scale solar generation with energy storage infrastructure, supporting the integration and delivery of renewable power.
Waaree Energies said the promoter, promoter group and group companies have no interest in SECI, and the order does not fall under related-party transactions.
