The Employees’ Provident Fund Organisation (EPFO) has credited the August 2026 pension to the bank accounts of 4,40,901 pensioners in the Keralam Zone on August 26, ahead of the Onam festival.
Typically, pensions under the Employees’ Pension Scheme (EPS), 1995 are disbursed towards the end of each month. However, EPFO brought forward the payment this month to help pensioners and their families meet their financial needs ahead of the celebrations.
The pension has been transferred through EPFO’s Centralized Pension Payment System (CPPS), enabling direct and seamless credit to beneficiaries’ bank accounts.
The organisation said the initiative is part of its efforts to ensure timely delivery of social security benefits and improve pension services through technology-driven and citizen-focused reforms.
